I am pleased to introduce the new Gaskov Clergé Foundation (GCF) Website.
On behalf of the officers and members of the organization, I invite you to explore the new website to learn a little more about GCF's work. It offers a comprehensive and up-to-date insight into past current and future projects.
Since its inception in 1999, the Gaskov Clergé Foundation (GCF) has focused its philanthropic operations on empowering individuals one life at a time. GCF has given over 500 US volunteers the opportunity to bring health care to over 20,000 underserved men, women and children in Haiti. Our volunteers have made many critical interventions for patients who would have otherwise lost their lives due to non-existent access to health care. Thus far, the medical missions have profoundly impacted the volunteers and patients lives in ways that are indescribable. In addition, through the generosity of many, GCF now provides scholarships to over 180 children in Haiti, giving them an opportunity for a decent education and a brighter future.
From many discussions with our partners in Haiti, GCF is being recommended to re-purpose the existing "Centre de Santé" located in Quatre Chemins, Les Cayes. We are finalizing the memorandum of understanding for that project and will continue our Campaign (Brick Campaign) for the "Centre de Santé's" re-purposing, renovation and operations. Our vision to build a larger medical center for the region is being deferred for 2-5 years to allow the organization to focus on the immediate needs of the Centre de Santé in Quatre Chemins.
GCF's brick campaign will afford us the much-needed resources to achieve our goal to build a medical center that will train and equip the Haitian medical professionals with the necessary equipment and tools to administer care to their own community. To that effect, GCF is also taking a step forward to explore, define and establish key relationships and partnerships with other organizations that are aiming at achieving similar objectives in health care access and education. We believe this synergy can only help strengthen us as organizations and will also allow us to do more our constituents in the south of Haiti.
